Starting his career as a design architect in Washington DC with The Lessard Group, Shawn managed the architectural side of construction on commercial, retail and residential works. With a move to New York City in 2000, Shawn worked at Perkins + Will Architects, where he advanced to become one of the firm’s technical leads. After working in their K-12 and Higher education studios for nearly 7 years, Shawn joined Guerin Glass Architects in 2007 as technical director and senior project manager.

Shawn, with Scott Glass and Brendan Guerin, founded Composite Fabrication + Construction in 2010. Shawn is responsible for the management of CF+C and the technical direction of GGA – unifying design and construction and allowing both companies to experiment with construction techniques, implement sustainable practices and research methodologies and integrate knowledge into the work of both companies.

Lawrence grew up in Manhattan, and worked as an artist assistant for several different New York artists, learning how to weld, cast, and carve stone. He learned the ropes of construction and the physicality of things from the bottom up, while attending Hunter College and earning a BA in fine arts/art history. Lawrence has been building New York apartments and businesses since 2004. His attention to detail and commitment to executing the architects’ and clients’ visions, have earned him a respected reputation among both.Having collaborated with GGA on numerous projects in the early 2000’s, he eagerly joined Composite Fabrication and Construction as a Senior Project Manager in 2012.
